The Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has said that the addition of the Belgian midfielder Eden Hazard to the team has provided them with a new dimension. Chelsea managed to secure the signature of the highly rated 21-year-old midfielder Eden Hazard from the French club Lille for around £ 32 million, while he is one of the highest paid players at the club.
Many have doubted the transfer value of the player prior to his first game of the season against Wigan. However, he has proved to be a good player as everyone expected at Chelsea before his arrival according to the goalkeeper Petr Cech.
Eden Hazard has been hugely impressive in the first three matches for Chelsea, while he has also been largely responsible for the three straight victories that the club has achieved in these matches. So far, Chelsea have scored eight goals in the league this season and Hazard has contributed all but one of them, which goes a long way into showing the impact he has had at the club. Petr Cech has said that Eden Hazard was the missing piece in the jigsaw for Chelsea, as he enables the club to play differently.
“The French league is a tough league, so it shows what a good player he [Hazard] is, and he’s still only 21 years old. It’s great to have players like him coming into the club. It’s tough to lose a player like Didier [Drogba], but Fernando [Torres] is scoring goals again, and the likes of [Juan] Mata, Hazard and Lamps [Frank Lampard] when he’s been playing, have found a quick understanding in the midfield and it’s great to see," said the Chelsea goalkeeper on the official website of the club. Chelsea will be next facing the toughest derby of all in the form of QPR.
