The Napoli and Slovakia midfielder Marek Hamsik has said that he is enjoying his best season in the Italian Serie A till date. The 25-year-old has been one of the best players for Napoli this season, as he has helped them mount a title challenge along with Juventus.
They are regarded as the only challengers for the current champions Juventus this season. This has been partly down to the form of the Slovakian midfielder, who has already scored seven goals in the league this season. It is extremely impressive given that he has played in only 15 league matches.
They are second in the Italian Serie A table 2 points behind the leaders Juventus. Prior to the match against Inter Milan during the weekend, the 23-year-old has said that he feels that this season has been one of his best till date. He has not only been able to score goals on a much regular basis, but has also been able to contribute to the team in other areas of the pitch as well. The match against Inter Milan will be extremely difficult for Napoli given that they are just two points behind them on the table. Hence, a loss would mean that Inter Milan would go top of them in the table.
"I believe that this is my best campaign up until this point of my career. I'm scoring a lot of goals, but also doing well thanks to the work of the whole side. I'm happy to be at Napoli where we are re-writing history, this is the club who wanted me the most and we still have a lot to do and win. The league table says that we are the anti-Juventus, we are close to them after a great start to the season," said Mark Hamsik.
