Former Chelsea player Robert Huth has revealed how much of a skilled person his former teammate Petr Cech is when it comes to being a leader. The former defender said he always viewed Cech as a leader because of how cool, calm, and collected he was especially during moments when one would be expected to be panicking. The pair played together at Stamford Bridge for a couple of years and they enjoyed each other's company so well.
Huth was speaking in an interview with The Athletic where he made the comments, while also adding that the former Czech Republic number one would always preach and promote togetherness in the Blues' dressing room back then and that he also had the skill to relate with anyone.
According to Huth, Cech is very intelligent and was always a commanding figure in the dressing room when when you're meeting him for the first time. The former German central defender went on to say that Cech would usually command respect due to how he would usually show strict comportment.
Cech joined Chelsea as a young goalkeeper from French Ligue 1 side Rennes and immediately established himself as one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League. He was also instrumental among his teammates and was usually always ready to provide support and assistance to enw players who just joined the club.
Huth continued and added that while John Terry was the captain nack then, he was not the only person who had leadership qualities. He said Cech was usually always quiet but whenever he wanted to speak, everyone would pay attention and listen to what he had to say.
The German concluded by adding that whenever Terry and other leadership figures didn't know what to say, Cech always stepped up.
