Cech eager to face-off with Manchester Clubs

Arsenal have consistently been able to snatch one of the top spots in the English Premier League, but have lacked the ambition to actually win it. Even though it’s still a fantastic achievement for any team to do, fans of the club want to see Arsene Wenger and his squad to accomplish more.

As each season passes by, it seems like Arsenal simply cannot break their curse of not snatching the 1st spot since the season of 2003-04. Even after having spent a significant amount of cash in highly-rated players such as Mesut Ozil and more recently, Alexandre Lacazette who was signed for a fee of £47 million.

Arsenal winning back the fans since Liverpool loss - Petr Cech

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech believes the club have won the fans back with their strong reaction following the Liverpool defeat.

The Gunners succumbed to one of the most embarrassing losses in recent times after they were thrashed 4-0 by Jurgen Klopp's side in August.

The north London giants have since gone on a seven-match unbeaten streak which has included six wins and a draw, and Cech feels that they have regained the trust of the Gunners' faithful, he said: "We said after the Liverpool game that the only way to bring everybody back on board was to work hard and show our attitude and work ethic through our results and performances. We've been doing so, especially at home. We feel like we've won the fans back to our side, and hopefully, we can keep them happy as long as we can. Every fan has the right to say if they're not happy, but as players, we lead the way and our fans are supporting us home and away. This is great to see."

Petr Cech led dressing room inquest following Liverpool defeat

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech took it upon himself to criticise his fellow teammates following their 4-0 defeat at the hands of Liverpool.

The Gunners failed to show any fight during the course of the game, and Cech managed to save their blushes with a string of impressive saves to keep the scores beyond utter embarrassment.

While Arsene Wenger would quite rightfully have the right to question his squad, it appears that the former Chelsea man was the one who ripped into his Gunners' teammates. As a result, the critics are likely to voice further opinion on the manager, who is reluctant to be hard to his under-performing players.

Emiliano Martinez seals switch to Getafe on loan

Arsenal's third-choice goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez has headed to Getafe on a season-long loan as he looks to gain valuable first-team experience during the 2017/18 season.

The Argentine was used primarily in the League Cup games last season, but he did earn his chance in the Premier League owing to injuries to both Petr Cech and David Ospina. Martinez featured in the 3-0 victory over West Ham in early April, but his second league performance was not up to scratch as he conceded a penalty in the 3-0 beating at the hands of Crystal Palace.

Petr Cech admits pre-season has been a success

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech admits that the club's pre-season tour of Australia and China has been a success despite a sickness bug affecting a part of the travelling squad.

The former Czech international admits that it's important to keep hydrated under the warm conditions, but the tests for the squad was a welcoming one.

Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech bemoans unclear offside rules

Arsenal shot-stopper Petr Cech has criticised the recent changes made to the offside rule which has confused both the players and the officials on the playing field.

Initially the rules were clear and simple with the player deemed offside, should he be ahead of the opponent’s backline. However, this has changed over the years with the new rule suggesting that the player should directly interfere with the ball or hold an unfair advantage to be adjudged offside.

Antonio Conte actually has plans for Cesc FabregasJens Lehmann reckons Petr Cech is one of the best in his position

Arsenal legend Jens Lehmann believes Petr Cech is one among the best players in the goalkeeping position due to his calming presence behind the backline.

The former Czech international first tested Premier League football with Chelsea in 2004 where he helped them lift the Premier League title for the first time. He has since moved on to Arsenal after more than a decade of service and Lehmann feels that the 35-year-old remains a valuable asset for the north London club.

ARSENAL MEAN BUSINESS

Arsenal are set to add Juventus creative force Juan Cuadrado to their ranks this summer, reports in England boldly claim. The former Chelsea star failed to impress at the Bridge after joining from Fiorentina following a decent showing in the international stage.

Jose Mourinho lured him to the Blues but the Columbia international did not impress, featuring just 13 times. He moved to Juventus where he blossomed. He has been a major driving force in the success of the Old Lady in recent times.

Juventus yet to seal deal for Arsenal goalkeeper

Juventus boss Max Allegri has declined suggestions that the club are close to wrapping up the services of Arsenal goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny in the summer transfer window.

The Poland international is said to be eyeing a fresh challenge away from Arsenal following a two-year loan stint with AS Roma. Szczesny was initially deemed as a probable replacement for Gunners deputy David Ospina, but the 27-year-old has other thoughts in mind ahead of next season.
